1997 Ford Thunderbird
For this model year, Ford produced only one trim of its Thunderbird ? the LX.
To make it a bit sportier, an option package has been offered. Ford Thunderbird
?97 has a load of optional features which includes anti-lock brakes, traction
control, a sunroof CD player and an automatic climate control. It also has ever-present
power seats, steering, windows and mirrors.

The two-door style makes it a handsome retro, but this year's Thunderbird doesn?t
get the attention of many people, like it once did. To maintain its throwback
personality, it remains as a rear-wheel drive car Despite of losing the attention
of some passer-by, T-Bird is practically modern, with its rear suspension system
and enhanced power delivered by Ford 4.8-liter V8 engine.
This engine generates 205 horsepower, more than enough to avoid discomfort in
stoplight hurry. ?97 T-Bird has only one available transmission ? an easy-shifting
four-speed automatic with its shifter placed on the console. It has an overall
length of 16feet and 8 inches and it weighs 3,600 pounds. It has 17 mpg in the
city and 25 in the highway. Thunderbird comes as a fair bargain with all the engineering
and tooling costs because it has older design.
